Diya Communications headed by Pranayaraja Dr Srinath and his wife Smt Geetha Srinath has come out with ‘Suli’ Kannada cinema in PH Vishwanath direction. The film ‘Suli’ title reminds the 1978 BS Ranga directorial venture. This one is based on Na Damodar Shetty story. The film first screening was held on last Friday for the team members and special guests.

It is after screening of the film the team met the media for the first briefing. PH Vishwanath feels lucky to work as director with Dr Srinath and team. He thanked Srinath for getting the beard required for the film. In the toughest atmosphere we have worked for the film. It was a short schedule in the hilly regions. Srinathji has not done this kind of role in his career so far says PHV. ‘Suli’ is father and daughter bondage. Doing good for all the time the key person is caught in the vicious circle. How he comes out is another interesting aspect of the film. The need for the film was 20 donkeys. For artists we have done workshop but for maintaining 20 donkeys it was tough says PHV.

Dr Srinath in his address stated that for this film he adhered to the needs of director PHV. I was totally imbibed and not think of anything. When I reached Bengaluru from USA, I was given full reading of the film. Two months I did not shave for this film purpose. PHV reminded my mentor doyen SR Puttanna Kanaga. He is also from the same school. PHV was assistant when I did ‘Dharmasere’. Later we worked in a few films recalled Dr Srinath.

Smt Geetha Srinath is very happy for the film made in the banner she started eight years ago. Even for a small role, PHV has made right selection she appreciated. In 2017, my husband is directing a film promised Geetha Srinath.

Pragathi from Mangaluru a communication student is in lead role. She feels very proud for acting in this film. Twins – Adwiti and Ashwiti are also in the cast doing fine job.

Co producer Sathyanarayana, team members Channakeshava, Venkatesh, cameraman Manjunath, editor Kemparaj and others were present.
